June 20, 2008.

The Board of Directors had its monthly meeting this week this past Tuesday evening. We discussed several items and are continually striving to move things forward and start making some physical progress on the Club grounds.

There has been some great response from the membership to the survey. At this point we have had over 92 members respond. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to complete it. The BOD is planning on leaving it active for a couple of weeks to make sure that everyone has a chance to see it.

Next weekend is the first time we are going to use the Club's grounds to host an event. The Hound Dog Regatta is always a fun event! I would really like to see a good turn out, so please plan on attending if you are able. Dan Spyhalski, Jessica Gerber and Sarah have been busy with last minute details. Mt Gay Rum has donated several hats, shirts and rum. Also a representative from Labatt's will be on site to help get the party started. Watch your e-mail for more details to come.

Wednesday night PHRF racing was a little chilly this week, but despite of the cold weather the conditions were perfect. We also had another great turn out at the Tuscan Bistro. The management continues to try and improve service. Our members come on like a tidal wave, so it's difficult for them to adjust. They go from 5 customers to 100 then back to 5+in the span of an hour, its fun to watch.

Unfortunately that's all I have for now, hopefully we'll have some big announcements in the up coming weeks. Have a great weekend!
